Japan provides assistance to build school lunch preparation center

KATHMANDU: Ambassador of Japan to Nepal, Masamichi Saigo, signed a grant contract with Food for Life Nepal to build a School Lunch Preparation Center in Budhanilakantha Municipality in Kathmandu.

The construction is expected to cost about NPR 9.5 million, according to a statement issued by the Embassy of Japan in Kathmandu.

On the occasion, Japanese Ambassador Saigo hoped that the grant would help improve the educational environment for students studying at public schools in Kathmandu.

The Food for Life Nepal was established in 2015 with an aim to provide midday meals to children in public schools in Budhanilakantha Municipality.
