Cartoon factory catches fire in Chitwan



CHITWAN: United Packaging P. Ltd,  a manufacturer of cartoon boxes,  has caught fire at Bahraghare in Bharatpur Municipality-4 in the district.

Locals rushed to the site after they saw the plumes of smoke swirling above the factory early today. The fire destroyed big rolls of papers used for making cartoon boxes.

According to Bhadranarayan Piya, the owner of the factory, the fire was caused by lightning at 2:45 am today.

Police personnel brought the fire under control with the help of fire engines and locals. The details of the property damaged is yet to be assessed.
