Construction of Dang Lamahi-Koilabaas Hulaki Highway resumes



DANG: The construction work of the Dang Lamahi-Koilabaas Hulaki Highway, which was stalled owing to obstructions from locals, has been resumed.

The construction was stalled before due to obstruction by owners of some physical structures in the market place of Gadhawa.

The process of dismantling the business structure, which was constructed at Chauraha has begun, authorities said.

Bal Chandra Thakuri Hamal, Chairperson of Gadhawa Municipality-6 informed that 11 structures in and around Chauraha have been demolished along the Lamahi-Koirlabaas section of the road.

“Those structures had earlier obstructed the construction process,” he informed adding that some yet-to-be demolished structures would be bulldozed.”

Compensation has been provided to almost all the structure-owners, he said. The decision to this effect was made as per the decision of an all-party meeting.
