Man gets 16 years in jail on rape charge



UDAYAPUR: Udayapur District Court has sentenced a man to 16 years in prison along with a fine of Rs 25,000 for raping a six-year-old girl in the district.

Hearing the case, a single bench of judge Deepak Khanal slapped Ram Bahadur BK of Lalpata of Triyuga Municipality-6  with a 16-year-jail term for raping the minor, said Raj Kumar Acharya, a record keeper at the court.

On February 1, 2019, District Police Office, Udayapur had filed a case against BK for raping the child living next house.
