Lightning kills one in Parsa

PARSA:  A 25-year-old man was killed after being struck by lightning here this morning. The deceased has been identified as Madhav Ram of Bahodaramai municipality-3, Parsa. The lightning struck him while he had been in a paddy field for defecation. The incident happened early morning.

Though he was rescued alive, he breathed his last while being rushed to the Birgunj-based Narayani Hospital. The body has been kept at the same hospital for post-mortem examinations, according to District Police Office Parsa’s information officer Deputy Superintendent of Police Anantaram Sharma.
