Now, PM can Chair Cabinet meeting via video conferencing



KATHMANDU: Now, Cabinet meeting can convene through video conferencing.

At a press meet organized to make public Cabinet decisions, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Baskota said that a decision to hold Cabinet meeting even through a video conferencing has been made.

He informed that Nepal Government Work Execution Regulations, 2065 BS has been amended to hold Cabinet meetings while Prime Minister is not physically available.

With the decision, PM KP Sharma Oli can now chair a Cabinet meeting during his stay in Singapore. He has left for Singapore on Thursday for a follow-up treatment at the doctors’ recommendation in less than two weeks.
