KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has summoned a meeting of the central committee of the party.

A meeting of the Standing Committee on Saturday summoned the central committee meeting for January 5, leader Barshaman Pun informed.

The NCP central committee has 445 members.

The meeting will endorse the decision of the Secretariat meeting to appoint Bamdev Gautam as vice chairman of the party.
