NEA employees launch ‘Smooth Service, Clean NEA’ campaign

KATHMANDU: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) National Employees Union has launched ‘Smooth Service, Clean NEA’ national campaign.

The Union, the authorized trade union affiliated to the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), launched the campaign aimed at making the NEA the best public utility corporation.

Coordinator of the Union, Rameshwor Poudel said that they initiated the campaign considering that trade unions need to cooperate with the management to fulfill the national goal.

He said that the employees, too, need to take initiatives to increase the consumption of available power.

The Union launched the campaign at a program on Friday in the presence of Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Barsha Man Pun; Minister for Forest and Environment Shakti Bahadur Basnet and NEA Executive Director Kulman Ghising, among others.

On the occasion, Minister Pun hoped that the campaign would produce meaningful results.
