PM Oli, Deuba hold talks in Baluwatar

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli and President of Nepali Congress (NC) Sher Bahadur Deuba held a meeting on Thursday.

Deuba had reached the prime minister’s residence in Baluwatar to meet PM Oli at around 10:15 am this morning. The meeting lasted for an hour.

During the meeting, Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal and leader Subash Nembang were present. Deuba was accompanied by leader Ramesh Lekhak.

Deuba inquired about the health condition of PM Oli. To which, the prime minister replied that he has been recovering at a full speed, according to NC leader Lekhak.

He added that discussions were held on the issues related to Truth and Reconciliation and Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons, Constitutional Council and House session among others.

During the meeting, Deuba objected to the government plan to bring an ordinance to decrease the number of Constitutional Council members.

“We objected to the proposed ordinance,” NC leader Lekhak said.
