Some 271 people die in natural disaster in six months

KATHMANDU: Around 271 people have died due to natural disasters in Nepal since mid-April, police data has revealed.

According to the Nepal Police Headquarters, some 646 people have been injured and 767 displaced due to various disasters since April this year.

As many as 1,063 livestock have also been killed in the incidents.

Likewise, around 4,607 houses were submerged during the period.

According to the data, some 15 bridges sustained damaged.
