Met office says respite from scorching heat from Tuesday

KATHMANDU: Normal life has been affected badly in various parts of the country including Kathmandu Valley for the past few days due to rise in temperature.

The mercury level has crossed 40 degrees Celsius in most of the Tarai region.  The mercury is however expected to go down from Tuesday.

According to the Department of Meteorology, the temperature was rising due to the weak presence of pre-monsoon and the subsequent absence of rainfall.

Meteorologist Raju Pradhananga said the temperature will go down from Tuesday as monsoon would become active from the same day.
