KATHMANDU: The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has agreed to lift the House obstruction on Monday.

The party became ready to let the parliament resume its proceedings after an FIR was lodged with the police against Khajura Municipality-1 Ward Chairman Suman Malla over Banke attack.

The main opposition on Sunday had obstructed the proceedings of both the houses demanding that police accept the FIR.

Leaders of the party including Banke district president Kiran Koirala were injured after the cadres of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) attacked them on September 12 during an awareness campaign.
