Lalitpur Metropolis provides Rs 10 m for reconstruction of Bhimsen Temple



LALITPUR: Lalitpur Metropolitan City Office has provided Rs 10 million for the reconstruction of Bhimsen Temple located at Patan Durbar Square.

Lalitpur Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan, Chief Administrative Officer Prem Prasad Bhattarai handed over the check bearing the amount to the Coordinator of Bhimsen Temple Reconstruction Concern Committee on  Friday.

The temple was severely damaged by the 2015 Earthquake. The temple is considered holy mainly among businessmen. Local businessmen and those interested have been providing a donation for the reconstruction of the temple.

Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Maharjan said that reconstruction to preserve the heritage was started by collecting donations from the locals.
