Govt organizes civic felicitation for SAG medal winners, coaches



KATHMANDU: The government has organized a civic felicitation program in honor of the medal winners and coaches of the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) held recently on Friday.

According to National Sports Council (NSC), a rally participated by the athletes and coaches was conducted in the Kathmandu Valley in their honor. The rally started from Tripureshwor at 11 am, passed Indrachowk via New Road then to Ratna Park to Singha Durbar to Pulchowk to Lagankhel to Satdobato to Koteshwor to Sallaghari. The rally will return from Sallaghari to Koteshwor to Baneshwor and finally ended on the premises of the Tripureshwor-based NSC.

The NSC said the civic felicitation program was organized to boost the morale of the players and other people involved in the SAG.

Nepal won 206 medals including 51 gold, 60 silver and 95 bronze medals in the 13th SAG held on December 1-10.
