NCP, CPC stress on expanding mutual relations



KATHMANDU: Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sunday called on Nepal Communist Party (NCP) top leaders to expand the scope and dimension of political relations at the government, people and the Communist party-level.

During his meeting with the NCP chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and party secretariat members, the Chinese President, who is also the Chairman of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said the Chinese government had enormous support from its people due to their success to lead the people and nation on the right track.

Chinese President Xi also congratulated Nepal for its political achievements, development endeavors and its efforts assuring of China’s support in Nepal’s development endeavors, according to NCP Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha, who attended the meeting said.

President Xi said the friendly relations between China and Nepal need to be further strengthened.

Stating that both countries have a good relationship since the past, it should be expanded to every level on the basis of mutual trust.

The mutual relations, President Xi said, should be expanded to the government, people and the party-level.

He added that a Communist party should focus on discipline to ensure socialism.
