Tension flares as police clash with people



KATHMANDU: Tension flared at Tripureshwor after police clashed with people on Tuesday.

Police baton-charged people on the premises of Dasharath Stadium while they were trying to book tickets for the final match of the men’s football.

Journalist Suman Chapagin of Nagarik daily sustained injuries in the clash.

Chapagain was taking a photograph of the incident when the security personnel manhandled him ruthlessly.
