Murder-convict lands in police net after 1 year

LAHAN: Police have arrested a man who was on the run after killing two people one year ago.

A squad of police deployed from police post in Bhagawanpur arrested 38-year-old murder-convict Ajaya Kumar Yadav of Bhagawanpur Rural Municipality-3 in Siraha district.

He was arrested from his own house.

On November 16, 2018, Yadav had raped a 38-year-old woman and killed her 68-year-old mother-in-law when there was no body in the house.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking the arrested into custody.
