Winter session of federal parliament likely from Dec 20



KATHMANDU: The winter session of the federal parliament is likely to be commenced from December 20.

The government had on Monday recommended convening the winter session of the federal parliament from December 20.

According to a government source, Monday’s cabinet meeting wrote to President Budhya Devi Bhandari for calling the winter session, which is also called as the bill session.

Meanwhile, the first meeting of the winter session is also likely to initiate the process for the election of Speaker, which is lying vacant after the then Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara resigned from the post following rape allegations.
