Snowfall and rain likely from Wednesday evening

KATHMANDU: The snowfall is forecast in highlands and light rain is expected in the hilly regions due to westerly winds from Wednesday evening, according to Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

The westerly wind formed in the east of Iran and Afghanistan is gradually surging towards east which is likely to cause cloudy weather and rain in the South Asian Countries including Nepal, said Samir Shrestha, a meteorologist.

As a result of it, the temperature will go down and rain is likely in the country. This kind of weather condition will continue until Saturday.

The weather will be sunny today. Even though the weather is cloudy in the morning will clear in the afternoon in the central and eastern regions.
