11 injured, 5 critically, in Taplejung road mishap

TAPLEJUNG: Eleven pilgrims sustained injuries after a pick-up van met with an accident in the district. The pick-up van, Me 1 Ja 1486, was heading to Suketar from Pathibhara Temple with the pilgrims when the incident took place, said District Police Office, Taplejung.

The condition of five among those injured is said to be critical.

The injured are Motimaya Tamang, 54, Eknath Sigdel, 42, Nishan Acharya, 8, Uddhav Prasad Sigdel, 42, Laxmi Sidgel, 38, have been referred to out of Taplejung following preliminary treatment a local heath post.

All the injured are from Nijgadh. The rest are undergoing treatment at Taplejung District Hospital .

The pick-up van met with the accident near Suketar Airport at 9:50 pm yesterday.
