Pakistani national arrested in Nepal with USD 11,994



KATHMANDU: A Pakistan national has been arrested from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu with USD 11,994 on Sunday evening.

According to police, the arrested is 38-year-old Agha Zeeshan Haider holding passport number 6974384.

Police recovered the money that was concealed in the bag he was carrying during a customs check upon his arrival from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia through a flight of Malindo Air.

TIA Security Office said he has been handed over to the Department of Revenue Investigation for further action.

Carrying such a huge cache of American dollars is illegal in Nepal.
