5,000 security personnel deployed at Pashupati area

KATHMANDU: The Nepal government has deployed as many as 5,000 security personnel in view of the security of devotees during Sivaratri in and around Pashupati area, according to Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT).

The PADT has arranged the mass in four lines for the comforts of devotees by forming different sub committees.

The paste of sandalwood is being distributed to the devotees at the main door of the temple when they exit.

Hansamandap, open areas of Bankali and Tilganga have been used as residential ares where 100 different organizations have been distributing food, water and tea to the devotees in free of cost.

The PADT will bid farewell to sadhus with cash and kinds on Wednesday.
