Kathmandu Valley witnesses 134 accidents during lockdown so far

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Valley has witnessed 134 accidents during the ongoing lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus.

According to the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD), eight people were killed and seven seriously injured in the mishaps.

A total of 88 persons sustained minor injuries.

All expect essentials vehicles have been barred from operating and security checks have been intensified. It resulted in fewer accidents, said MTPD Chief SSP Bhim Prasad Dhakal.
