48th COVID-19 patient had arrived from Saudi Arabia 47 days ago



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population on Friday has stated that the 48th COVID-19 patient had arrived in Nepal from Saudi Arabia 47 days ago.

Speaking at a regular press briefing, Spokesperson Dr. Bikash Devkota shared that the 26-year-old youth of Bhojpur had returned Nepal through a flight of Himalaya Airlines on March 13.

His sample was tested at the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences and the report came positive on Thursday. He is currently under the doctor’s supervision in Hatuwagadhi and is being taken to Biratnagar.

After arriving in Kathmandu, the youth had stayed some days in Udayapur and then traveled to his home district.

The Ministry said samples of the people with whom he had stayed are being collected.
