Baglung girl test positive for COVID-19 for second time

POKHARA: The second report of a 19-year-girl of Baglung has arrived positive for coronavirus.

Earlier, it was reported that a person who had recently returned from India has tested positive for COVID-19.

However, Gandaki Province Directorate of Health Services stated that no new case has been confirmed.

“It is not a new case. The second test report of the girl came positive. There seems to be a miscommunication,” said Nawaraj Sharma, contact person at Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC).

Gandaki Province Directorate of Health Services in its official website has put the total number of COVID-19 infected to seven which was later corrected to six.

In a conversation with Khabarhub, an official at the Directorate had said that a sample of a person was tested at a PCR machine received from the central government and the report came positive.

*Corrected: A news ‘Nepal reports 7th coronavirus case’ prepared on information from an official at Gandaki Province Directorate of Health Services and official website of the Directorate has been corrected. We would like to apologize for the mistake caused due to wrong information from the government agency.- Editor
