PM’s kidney transplantation cost Rs 600,000

KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) has revealed that the cost of the PM KP Oli’s kidney transplantation turned around Rs 600,000.

The cost of PM Oli’s medical treatment including the transplantation and the bed charge is said to be around the aforementioned amount.

“Though the details of the bills and receipt are still to be included, I don’t think the cost of transplantation exceeds more than 600 thousand rupees,” Prem Krishna Khadga, the Director of TUTH told Khabarhub adding, “We can’t charge anything extra just because he is a PM.”

Dr. Khadka informed that the hospital would soon make the details of the cost and expenses public.

PM Oli who had the kidney transplanted on the second day of his admission had stayed in TUTH for 12 days before getting discharged on Friday evening.
