Govinda Luitel joins Khabarhub as Editor-in-Chief



KATHMANDU: Senior journalist, Govinda Luitel has joined Khabarhub as Editor-in-Chief from today.

Chairman of Khabarhub, Naresh Shrestha, welcomed Luitel amid a function at the Pavilion Hall, Durbar Marga on Wednesday.

Luitel has been in this sector since 1996. He started his career in journalism with Naya Bikalpa, a vernacular weekly, in 1996.

Since then he has been working in this sector in various capacities. Prior to joining Khabarhub, he was working as an Editor with Himalaya Times, a national daily, where he worked for 13 years.

During his tenure there, besides editing, he wrote on various issues, mainly on political developments. Luitel has also been involved in writing books and has edited several books and other literary works.

Prior to this, he also worked with Channel Nepal, the country’s first private television, for five years as an editor.

Meanwhile, Khabarhub management has approved the resignation of former Editor-in-Chief Jibram Bhandari, who resigned citing personal matters.

Bhandari worked as the Editor-in-Chief with Khabarhub since its launch in February last year.

Chairman Shrestha, meanwhile, thanked outgoing Editor-in-Chief Bhandari for his contribution and taking Khabarhub to this height.
