KATHMANDU: Offering her short comment after the party secretariat’s decision to go for her resignation, Shiva Maya Tumbhahamphe, the incumbent deputy speaker has declared to refute to get down from the post.

Earlier, Nepal Communist Party Secretariat meeting held at the PM’s residence on Saturday had decided to request the incumbent deputy speaker to vacate the seat to make room for the nomination of a new speaker for the House of Representatives.

After the meeting, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, the party spokesperson had made the meeting’s decision public saying the secretariat had decided to go for Deputy Speaker Tumbhahamphe’s resignation.

Commenting on the party’s latest decision, speaking to Khabarhub Tumbahamphe told that she would not resign from the post.

Still sticking to her claim for the post of Speaker, she asked, “Why should I resign? I, myself, am capable for the post.”
