Man dies after being hit by bus



JHAPA: A man has died in a road accident in Birtamod along the East-West Highway on Friday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Homnath Dhungel, 56, of Ilam district, who was currently staying at Laxmipur of Kankai Municipality-3, Jhapa.

Dhungel, who was working as a security guard for Agriculture Wholesale Market, was hit by the bus, Na 4 Kha 6116, near west bus-stand.

Critically injured Dhungel breathed his last while being rushed to Birtamod-based B and B Hospital.

Meanwhile, police have taken the bus and its driver under control and is investigating the case.
