Snowfall grips Rukum (east), normal life affected

RUKUM: Snowfall has gripped lives in high hill areas of Rukum (east). The temperature has gone down with the snowfall.

The mountains which were seen with rocks since long are now turned to be snow-capped. However, normal life has been badly affected due to a sharp decline in temperature.

Snowfall that occurred in high-hill areas of the district on Thursday had also reached the lower parts of a hill on Friday.
Almost all parts of Puthauttarganga’s rural municipality of the district are covered with snow.

Likewise, snowfall has affected the areas of Hirchheda (Patihalne), Rigal, Tilochan, Nogopo, Chauri, Rajyu, Panchase, Kankri Siddagufa, and Boppelek among others. Also snowcapped are the areas including Sisne rural municipality-1, Thulosisne, upper areas of Pwang settlement in ward-2 and upper area of Dading.

People’s daily life including routine movement has been adversely affected due to snowfall. The snowfall and subsequent mercury fall have also affected the cattle beside human beings in the Rukum (east) areas.
