Electricity cables to go underground in capital



KATHMANDU: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) is all set to lay electrical power supply cables underground.

Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority Kulman Ghising said the preparations are underway to lay electricity cables underground from the next week.

According to Ghising, the electrical cables spanning from Ratnapark and Maharajgunj will be laid underground in the first phase in the Kathmandu Valley.

All the necessary equipment and materials have already arrived in Kathmandu, said Ghising.
