KATHMANDU: Hindu devotees have thronged Pashupatinath Temple and shivalayas across the country on the occasion of Mahashivaratri on Monday.

Pashupati Development Trust has kept all the major four doors open to the devotees since 3 am today. Hundreds of devotees have been lining up since early morning to pay homage to the god Pashupati. A total of five lines have been arranged leading to major entrances of the Pashupati Temple.

As per the arrangement, two begin from Mitrapark and Gaurighat leading to the north entrance via Umakunda-Dakshinmurti-Rudragadeshwar, one line leading to the western door via Jayabageshwari-Itapakha-Bhuwaneshwari and other two lines start from Batisputali, Gaushala and Airport leading to the southern door via Pingalasthan-Sumargi building-Panchadewal.
