NCP holding Secretariat meeting today



KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is holding its Secretariat meeting on Monday to discuss contentious issues within the party.

The meeting to be held at the party central office in Dhumbarahi at 1 pm will be chaired by NCP Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Even though the meeting was earlier scheduled to be held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, the venue was later changed as PM K P Oli is learned to have said he would not be able to participate in the meeting.

On Sunday morning, Dahal had discussed the agenda for the meeting with senior party leaders at his residence in Khumaltar.

Sunday’s informal meeting was participated by party senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, General Secretary Bishnu Poudel, Ishwor Pokharel, among others.

Leaders of the party discussed the agenda for Monday’s meeting as well as the appointment of members in different party departments.
