KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has paid his last tribute to late Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari by draping a national flag over his mortal remains at Nepal Army Pavilion, Tundikhel on Wednesday.
Prime Minister reached Tundikhel to pay last tributes to Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Rabindra Adhikari, and six others who lost their lives to the helicopter crash accident on Wednesday.
Thousands of heartbroken people are gathering at the Army Pavilion, Tundikhel to pay final tributes to the chopper crash victims.
Adhikari’s body is due to be taken to Pokhara where he will be cremated with state honors shortly.
Similarly, final rites for Yubaraj Dahal, undersecretary at the Prime Minister’s Office, Deputy Director General of Civil Aviation Authority Nepal Birendra Prasad Shrestha, Dhruba Das Bhochhibhaya, Director at CAAN, Arjun Ghimire, body guard of late Minister Adhikari and captain Prabhakar KC will be performed at Pashupati Aryaghat today itself.
According to his family sources, final rites for Ang Chhiring Sherpa, chairman of Yeti Airlines, will be performed on Sunday.
Bodies of seven victims of the Air Dynasty helicopter crash were airlifted to Kathmandu Thursday afternoon from the crash site in Taplejung.
The AS350B helicopter belonging to Air Dynasty was flying back to Kathmandu after carrying out a feasibility study of the proposed airport in Chuhandanda of Tehrathum district. It crashed at Sisnekhola area at around 1:30 PM on Wednesday.
