KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli’s Press Advisor, Surya Thapa, has vowed to disseminate information on the government and the Prime Minister’s activities in a transparent manner.

Speaking at a press meet organized at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar today, Thapa said he would ensure that the information of Prime Minister’s works reaches out to the people in a transparent manner.

Thapa, who assumed his official responsibility on Tuesday, vowed to maintain coordination with the media people at any time saying that he would not hide any information eligible for dissemination.

Thapa said he would make maximum efforts through the media persons in reaching the works of the Prime Minister and the government to the people.

Stating that his emphasis would be on maintaining transparency in information dissemination, he said some sensitive issues would, however, be resolved in consultation with the media persons.

On the occasion, Thapa also expressed his dismay referring to what he said the ‘problem of exaggerated and wrong news’ in the media.

PM’s press advisor Thapa stressed the need for discouraging such practices.
