Ward Office building constructed at cost of Rs 10 million

MYAGDI: A new ward office building has been completed in Beg, Raghuganga Rural Municipality-1, Myagdi at a cost of Rs 10.5 million. The two-story structure, built to be earthquake-resistant, features nine rooms.

Ward Chairperson Bil Prasad Fagami said the building was constructed through the consumer committee with a budget allocation of Rs 5 million.

“We plan to add another floor to include a meeting hall using the budget allocated for the current fiscal year,” he added. Services are expected to begin from the new building in the upcoming fiscal year.

The structure was built on land previously owned by the former Beg VDC, with an additional two annas and three paisas donated by local resident Hitman Fagami.

Of the eight wards in Raghuganga Rural Municipality, office buildings have already been constructed in Wards 2 (Bhagwati), 5 (Jhin), and 6 (Pakhapani). Wards 3 (Piple), 4 (Dagnam), and 8 (Kuinemangale) are still operating from old facilities. Meanwhile, construction of the municipality’s main administrative building is underway in Mauwaphanta.
