Three family members fall ill after eating poisonous mushrooms



GULMI: Three members of the same family in Musikot Municipality-4, Digamchaur, Gulmi, fell ill after consuming poisonous mushrooms they had foraged from a nearby forest.

The affected individuals have been identified as 68-year-old Phulmaya Kumal, 76-year-old Thamman Bahadur Kumal, and 36-year-old Geeta Kumal, according to Ganga Bahadur Saru, Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Gulmi.

After eating the mushrooms on Thursday, all three developed symptoms such as headache, dizziness, and vomiting later that evening. They were immediately referred to Lumbini Medical College in Prabhas, Palpa, for treatment.

A police team, led by Constable Krishna Mohan Kewat from the Indragowda Police Post, coordinated the emergency transport. Authorities have confirmed that all three patients are now in stable condition.
