Chinese leader Song Tao meets Prachanda



KATHMANDU: Chief of the International Department of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Central Committee Song Tao met Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda on Tuesday.

During the meeting held at the Kathmandu-based Hotel Marriott, the leaders discussed the activities of Communist Parties of the two countries.

Chairman Dahal expressed thanks to the Chinese leader for assistance and good faith extended by CCP to Nepal and Nepalis.

“I am confident that assistance by the Chinese government and CCP will increase in the coming days,” Dahal said.

During the meeting, the Chinese leader stressed the need to formulate a common program to exchange experiences between the two parties.

“Economic progress of the country is the most important. People’s heart can be won only by economic prosperity,” Song said.
