KATHMANDU: The government is not in a mood to immediately implement the new on Money Laundering Directive (MLD) 2076.

The new directive on money laundering, which was scheduled to be launched from September 18, has been postponed citing delay in discussion with the stakeholders, said Santosh Kumar Dahal, deputy registrar of the Office of Company Registrar.

He further said that the directive will be implemented following the consultation with the stakeholders.

The government is determined to effectively implement the provisions regarding the money laundering.

The Money Laundering Directive 2076 has defined that those companies doing transaction exceeding 10 million in a single financial year or a making transaction of 2.5 million at a single time as the biggest companies.
