Two parliamentary committees meeting today



KATHMANDU: Two key committees of the Federal Parliament are set to convene today at the Federal Parliament Building in Singha Durbar.

The State Affairs and Good Governance Committee will meet at 12:15 pm to deliberate on amendments proposed by Members of Parliament (MPs) to the bill concerning the formation, operation, and conditions of service for the Federal Civil Service.

This discussion is part of the committee’s ongoing agenda.

Similarly, the Infrastructure Development Committee will gather at 11:00 am to continue discussions on the Electricity Bill, 2023. MPs have proposed several amendments to the bill, which will be reviewed during the session.

The Parliament Secretariat has confirmed the schedule for both meetings, which aim to address critical legislative matters.
