Former Finance Minister Pun stresses on increasing investment in job-creation sectors

KATHMANDU: Maoist Centre Deputy General-Secretary and former Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun has highlighted the need to invest more in sectors that create jobs.

Speaking at an event organized by the party’s Baglung Town Committee, Pun said fewer job opportunities are available because too much investment is going into unproductive areas.

He stressed that more employment opportunities should be created within Nepal to stop the increasing trend of young people moving abroad for work.

Pun also called for reforms in the democratic system, new leadership, and better organization within the party. He reminded the audience of the Maoist party’s significant role in bringing major political changes to the country.
