‘Govt committed to aviation safety’



KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Prasad Pandey reaffirmed government’s commitment towards ensuring aviation safety.

At a programme organized to mark the International Civil Aviation Day here today, Minister Pandey reiterated that enhancing aviation sector safety was the top priority of the government.

According to him, the aviation regulatory body was continuously made cautious in a bid to ensure safety of air travels.
Furthermore, the Minister informed that the process to form a permanent commission had been initiated for conducting investigation into the air accidents.

The International Aviation Day is being observed today across the globe in commemoration of the 80th years of the signing of the Convention on the International Civil Aviation in Chicago, USA.
