PM Oli holds virtual talks with Elon Musk

Prime Minister (PM) KP Oli engaged in a virtual discussion with billionaire entrepreneur and owner of social media platform X, Elon Musk.

During the conversation, Prime Minister Oli mentioned that he was communicating with Musk via social media.

Musk has expressed interest in developing satellite internet services in Nepal.

Board recommends parole for 285 prisoners

The Federal Probation and Parole Board has recommended granting parole to 285 prisoners.

The meeting, chaired by Attorney General Ramesh Badal, based its recommendation on a proposal submitted by the Department of Prison Management.

This initiative aims to allow prisoners with good conduct to be released on parole in accordance with Section 38 of the Criminal Offenses (Determination and Execution of Punishment) Act, 2074 BS.

Protest in Kathmandu against Israel’s atrocities in Palestine

A protest was held at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu today condemning Israel’s atrocities in Palestine.

The demonstration was jointly organized by civil society, affiliated organizations of various political parties, and activists.

The protest denounced Israel’s alleged war crimes in Palestine and the Gaza Strip.

Speaker Ghimire arrives in Cambodia

Speaker Devraj Ghimire has arrived in Cambodia, leading a five-member delegation to participate in the 11th meeting of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP).

Upon arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport, he was welcomed by high-ranking officials of the Cambodian parliament, as reported by his press expert, Shekhar Adhikari.

Speaker Ghimire departed for Cambodia’s capital on Friday night, leading a Nepali delegation to attend the program scheduled from November 23 to 26.

PM Oli visits hospital to inquire about father’s health

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has taken stock of the health condition of his ailing father Mohan Prasad Oli by visiting the hospital where father Oli is receiving treatment for some days.

PM Oli obtained updates about his father who is undergoing treatment at TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, Kathmandu.

Taking to social media, the Head of the Government shared, “Father is being treated at TU Teaching Hospital due to lungs related complications. His health condition is normal at present.”

31 injured in bus accident on East-West highway in Kanchanpur

A passenger bus met with an accident at Kaluwapur, located in Shuklaphanta Municipality-11 of Kanchanpur along the East-West Highway, leaving 31 people injured.

The bus (Na 4 Kha 7755), traveling from Dhangadhi to Mahendranagar, overturned, with two passengers sustaining serious injuries, according to DSP Umesh Joshi, the Information Officer at the District Police Office.

The injured are currently receiving treatment at Mahakali hospitals.
