KATHMANDU: Festivals play a vital role in strengthening social connections and promoting cultural unity, said Sher Bahadur Deuba, President of the Nepali Congress (NC).

In his greetings for the Chhath festival, he emphasized that these celebrations foster a sense of shared community and lay the groundwork for unity and reconciliation among diverse groups.

Deuba extended his wishes for happiness, peace, prosperity, and success to everyone, including the people of the Terai region.

He highlighted that Nepal is rich in various festivals and cultural traditions, noting that the country has a harmonious practice of honoring all religious and cultural customs.
