KATHMANDU: The hearings for the two proposed Supreme Court (SC) judges and the ambassador to Belgium are scheduled for October 30.
The nominees are Nripadhwaj Niraula and Nityananda Pandey for the Supreme Court, and Sewa Lamsal for the ambassador position.
During a meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee held at Singha Durbar on Monday, a resolution was passed to conduct the hearings for Niraula, Pandey, and Lamsal on the same day.
For the proposed Supreme Court judges, complainants will be invited to present their evidence and justifications.
In accordance with Section 15 of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee Procedures, 2080, the secretariat has approved the agenda to include discussions with the nominees for the Supreme Court judges and the ambassador to Belgium.
Lamsal, the proposed ambassador to Belgium, currently serves as the Foreign Secretary.
