Krishna Janmashtami being observed



KATHMANDU: Krishna Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna, is being observed across the country with gusto.

Hindu devotees have flocked to Krishna Mandir in Mangal Bazaar, Lalitpur and Nawatandham in Kageshwori Manohara Municipality, Kathmandu since early morning.

Similarly, devotees have also thronged Krishna Mandir based in Budhanilkantha to pay homage to Lord Krishna.

It is believed that Krishna took birth as the eight incarnation of Lord Bishnu today to encourage people to fight  injustices.

Srimadbhagwatgita is the holy scripture which is believed to have been preached by Krishna in course of giving noble lesson to Arjuna.
