Lawmaker Adhikari concerned over interrogating HR activists

KATHMANDU: Lawmaker of the National Assembly (NA) Radheshyam Adhikari today drew the government’s attention towards an interrogation of human rights activists by police on telephone.

Speaking during today’s zero, Adhikari raised concerns saying that the police have been unnecessarily questioning HR activists such as Krishna Pahadi, Damannanth Dhungana, and Charan Prasai.

Adhikari said such actions have been aimed at creating a fear among the mass. He said that a person from Nepal Police Headquarters allegedly telephoned HR defenders to inquire about their associations.
