Youth dies due to high altitude sickness in Goshaikunda



RASUWA: A 24-year-old youth from Sindhupalchowk died due to high altitude sickness in Goshaikunda Lake in Rasuwa.

Bijay Tamang, a resident of Melamchi Municipality-6 in Sindhupalchowk, was trekking the 5,600-meter climb in the Langtang area of Goshaikunda Rural Municipality-4 when the incident occurred.

According to the District Police Office in Rasuwa, Tamang fell ill after reaching a height of 5,600 meters while exploring the footpath of Langtang’s Kanjing Valley via Helambu in Sindhupalchowk.

The Rasuwa Police reported that his body was sent to the Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu for an autopsy.
