Sirohiya to be remanded in custody for three more days



KATHMANDU: The Dhanusha District Court has granted permission to remand Kailash Sirohiya, Chairman of Kantipur Media Group (KMG), in custody for an additional three days.

Sirohiya was initially arrested on Tuesday in connection with a dual citizenship issue.

Following his arrest, he was detained at the Dhanusha Police Office, with the court allowing the police to remand him in custody for three days starting Wednesday.

Today, Judge Romakanta Gyawali of Bench Number 5 granted permission to extend Sirohiya’s custody for another three days.

Chief District Attorney of Dhanusha, Sudeep Dangal, had requested an extension of five more days, citing the ongoing investigation into the case.
