Truck carrying equipment for petroleum exploration meets with accident

DAILEKH: A truck carrying equipment for petroleum exploration has met with an accident in Dailekh on Thursday.

Khimraj Bhushal, Chief District Officer of Dailekh, informed that a MP-30017817 truck met with an accident in Dullu Municipality-3, Pali, while en route to deploy equipment for drilling.

“The Indian-number-plate truck, bound from Nepalgunj to the construction site of Bhairabi Rural Municipality, Jajala, met with the accident while transporting the equipment for drilling,” Bhushal said.

According to him, the truck overturned on the road due to gravel left on the road by the road widening company.

The truck was later lifted with the help of two cranes.

In the first phase of the petroleum exploration project operated under the grant from the Chinese government, 22 cargo trucks have arrived at the exploration site.
